Inverter Installation

Inverters are the secret to generator-free off grid fun. They convert battery power and/or solar power into A/C current that can be used to power your entire camper, almost as if you were plugged in to shore power.

At Utah Off Grid Solar, we offer expert inverter installations at an affordable price, so you can enjoy your time off the grid without breaking the budget.

Inverter installations are broken down into three categories:

  1. Inverter Only Installation
  2. Dedicated Circuit Installation
  3. Whole System Installation

Inverter Only Installation

$500-$1000

This is the simplest type of installation, and consequently the cheapest. We install an inverter at a location of your choosing inside your camper. You can plug appliances directly into the inverter, and you switch it on and off manually. Price varies by inverter size, labor, and wire length.

Dedicated Circuit Installation (for Inverter-Ready or Inverter-Prep campers)

$500-$1500

This type of installation is for campers that were manufactured with the intent of adding an inverter at a later date. Typically there is an "Inverter Prep" box somehwere in the camper, usually within a few feet of the batteries. This system allows a specifc string of outlets, usually including the outlet next to the TV area, to be energized from either shore power or the inverter.

Whole System Installation

$1350-$3000

This is the most common type of installation, which powers your entire trailer as if it were connected to shore power. These systems require re-wiring of the shore power, removal of the built-in power converter, and a decent amount of physical open space to install. In conjunction with a properly sized battery bank and solar system, this type of inverter is capable of running the air conditioner, microwave, fridge, and much more.

Please note that a service call fee may be charged for installs further than 40 miles from Salt Lake City.
